On this day day - 8 December 1942 - Executive Order No. 110 was issued changing the names of streets among others.

Mr. Gomez's street address was changed from 'Wright' to 'Kawang-gawa'.

Ms. Ortigas was perhaps feeling fancy-free to use an Italian view card as a vehicle of the second printing of the 2-Pesos Vinta.

The first printing of the 2-Peso stamp was sold out before noon on its first day of issue. Additional pieces had to be reordered from Tokyo.
